Professional Experience:

I hold a master degree in law and I'm the happy father of two sons. It all started for me in Africa (DRC) in 1994 where I had the opportunity to look after the essential needs of 450000 Rwandan refugees as field logistician.

I have 30 years of experience in international humanitarian work. I engaged with the International Committee of the Red Cross as protection delegate and team leader from 1998 to 2005. I then joined the United Nations inter-agency protection capacity unit (ProCap) in 2006. I also have extensive experience with the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF).

I have a specific expertise in conflict-affected countries and fragile states in the following areas: protection of civilians, peace and stabilization, security and justice reform governance and counter trafficking in person.

I have a particular interest in strategic design in humanitarian protection and diplomacy, centrality of protection, conflict transformation, monitoring evaluation accountability and learning, localization and accountability to affected populations, mobilization and inclusive development of civil society, capacity development - training, coaching and mentorship.
