Professional Experience:

I am passionately dedicated to a career in global ophthalmology. As an ophthalmologist, I have acquired global work experience in eye care in both developed and underprivileged communities where resources are often stretched thin like Australia, the UK, Singapore, and Nepal. My experiences and interests in international eye health are not only for low-middle income countries, but the impact of marginalized and undeserved communities, in general, with a central interest in expanding research, clinical, and / or teaching opportunities related to health care disparity.

As an evidence-based researcher and published author, I focus on promoting knowledge exchanges and best practices globally by fostering successful team work and collaborations.

The ideal position would enable me to use my unique clinical, research and teaching skills, to serve a larger mission in international eye care.

Education:

I attained a graduate certificate in International Health from Curtin University and Masters in Applied Management (Health), following my medical graduation in Australia. Additionally, I hold an associate faculty position for Global Reach at the University of Michigan. I have held a position as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan for nearly 4 years, contributing to the development of cutting edge, innovative technology to improve the quality of life of patients affected by blinding eye diseases.
