Professional Experience:
Zipporah Jean has cultivated a strong and progressive career in program management and youth empowerment, primarily within Educate! Uganda. Starting as a Project Officer (2009), I built expertise in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and grant management at the Gulu District NGO Forum, demonstrating skills in relationship building, budget management, and capacity building.
Joining Educate! Uganda (2015), I advanced to Regional Officer, leading mentor recruitment, partnership development, and training programs. As Program Coordinator (2018), her responsibilities expanded to overseeing the Community Unit, managing teams, and handling regional budgets, showcasing her abilities in coordination, team development, and financial stewardship.
As Program Manager Implementation and Training (2022-2024), I spearheaded the in-school EXP strategy, managed the mentor ecosystem, and directed teams, emphasizing data-driven improvements and comprehensive training programs. Briefly serving as Senior Program Manager (2024), I focused on strategic implementation and team mentorship.
Currently, as Head of Program Implementation at Educate! Uganda (since July 2024), I provide overarching strategic leadership, aligning program strategy with organizational goals and the donor landscape. My role involves leading strategic reviews, ensuring high-quality program implementation, developing communication plans, establishing policies, managing risk, building high-performing teams, and overseeing a UGX 2+ billion annual budget.
Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to youth empowerment. My experience in budget management, program development, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement position me as a highly capable leader within Uganda's development sector. My consistent advancement within Educate! Uganda reflects her growing impact and potential.
