Professional Experience:
Entrepreneur and business development professional who provides technical assistance and capital to startups and SMEs in Ghana. In the past 11 years, he has started, led and supported early stage businesses in Ghana and Nigeria.
After exiting Rancard Solutions, a venture backed company that he helped grow (in which he was both a shareholder and chief operating officer), Samuel founded ServLed Africa Ltd in 2013 to transfer his experience to up-and-coming entrepreneurs. For the four years that he actively led the organization, it impacted over 1,000 beneficiaries through its mentoring programs, trained over 100 SMEs, and made small investments into 13 startups (of which 5 are still trading and/or optimizing their business models).
Samuel’s heavy focus on SME value creation is evident in the performance of the companies he has been involved in as well as the testimonials of companies he has supported.
His illustrious 17-year professional career spans two continents (with two fortune 500 companies in the US to multiple early stage businesses in Ghana and Nigeria). His resilience, passion and commitment to the enterprise development in Ghana has earned him recognition in the local ecosystem as well as with international partners.
Samuel holds a chemical engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy NY) and has been accepted to complete his executive MBA at the Said Business School (University of Oxford).
