Motivated to make information accessible to others for improved decision making by applying my project management skills, with a passion for learning, communicating and working with diverse cultures, especially in the field of agriculture. Seeking position in the New Delhi area, India. Beginner Hindi.
Growing up on a diversified crop and livestock farm in Missouri provided me a lot of practical experience in agriculture and rural development. My degree in agricultural journalism provided me a strong foundation in communication, allowing me to develop a variety of communication outputs specific to agricultural development, from toolkits and training of trainers manuals for NGO field staff to videos to share to donors. A master's in international agricultural development allowed me to research the adoption and use of information communication technologies and hone my project management skills. As a Leland International Hunger Fellow, I have gained in-depth experience with natural resource and governing common properties, simultaneously managing a team of 5 interns working on 3 disparate projects, and producing toolkits that translate development research into participatory decision-making tools.
