Professional Experience:
At the United Nations Volunteers, my job has been to establish for the first time decentralized offices in four different regions. I led five UNV global programmes with a total budget of USD 30 million in core resources. I also led partnerships with UN agencies, governments and funding partners over the mobilization of UN volunteers.
Prior to UNV I spent over three years working in India as UNDP Deputy Country Director in charge of UNDP programmes across full spectrum of thematic areas from poverty eradication, sustainable development, to governance, disaster risk reduction, HIV and health. I established instrumental partnerships leading to expanding financial scope of programmes to a USD 60 per annum. I represented UNDP on key UN and governmental processes, guided project management and delivery, managed risks and led engagements with the civil society and private sector partners.
Before India I was the desk officer at UNDP headquarters in charge of three countries: Cambodia, Viet Nam and Mongolia as well as leading work across the region in areas of results based management, UN reform, business continuity, private sector.
I started my career in the field in the role of supporting the UN Resident Coordinator in coordinating some 16 different UN agencies. I managed the MDG processes, monitoring of UN activities, statistical issues, public relations, and donor relations.
