Professional Experience:

I am currently the Regional Head of Child Rights Policy and Programming at Plan International Regional Office for the Americas. I lead and manage the team of regional program specialists ensuring quality program delivery and accountability. I monitor the performance of 12 countries in the Latin American and Caribbean Region and .provide oversight of the technical and financial implementation of large multi-country grants. I represent Plan International at regional and global levels. I lead the regional advocacy initiatives and the establishment of regional partnerships and alliances.
Prior to this role, I worked for almost 7 years in the Dominican Republic, first as Programme Leader for Plan International and then as Human Rights Specialist for the Italian Development Cooperation. I served as Regional Advisor for Arigatou International strengthening the Global Network of Religions for Children in 10 countries of the LAC Region. In 2008-2009 I worked at UNDP Guatemala in the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, supporting the UN inter-agency five-year strategic planning process and prior to that I worked in Ecuador for the protection of the rights of migrants and refugees. I started my career in Italy, where I worked for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the area of human rights. More details in my CV.

Master of Law (LL.M) in International Crime and Justice, at United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and University of Torino (UNITO – Faculty of Law).
Master’s Degree (MA) in International Relations at University of Rome “Roma TRE”, Italy.
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Political Science at University of Rome “Roma TRE”, Italy. Erasmus exchange program at Universidad Complutense, Faculty of Political Science, Madrid – Spain (2002–2003).
