Professional Experience:
Currently I work in civil litigation, defending tenants in eviction proceedings in New York City. Have written appellate briefs, engaged in extensive motion practice, and been involved in all facets of litigation from consultation to trial. Also, every other weekend, I volunteer at the International Institute of Connecticut assisting their attorneys advocate for refugees and immigrants by preparing visa applications, asylum petitions and other humanitarian relief. My international experience consists of representing an NGO, Human Rights Advocates, at the 25th General Session of the United Nations' Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland. Through my law school clinic, I submitted research reports on cultural rights, lobbied different delegations to promote my research and presented my research in a speech to the Human Rights Council. Before law school, I taught English to business professionals in Milan, Italy for a year. Also, I am a former coordinator and recruiter for undergraduate peer tutoring program at a university. Finally, throughout my studies, I organized numerous special events and programs at the college, graduate school and law school levels.
