Professional Experience:
I have spent 8 years across academia, the private sector and government communicating complex, contentious ideas in a compelling way.
As Australia's Aid for Trade representative in Geneva I have guided organisations from nascent ideas to fully funded proposals.
As donor coordinator for the Enhanced Integrated Framework (2015-2017), I oversaw the transformation of that $300m fund. I personally resolved many of the key impasses, forging consensus among donors, agencies and Least Developing Country Recipients.
As a Diplomat, I have negotiated and communicated at the highest levels. I have negotiated directly with Ministers from several countries on trade matters, prepared remarks for Australian Ministers and delivered interventions at the highest level of the multilateral system. In recognition of my communication skills, I was chosen to lead negotiations in the Committee of the Whole for the JUSSCANNZ Group (Japan, US, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Norway and New Zealand) at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Nairobi, 2016.
A lecturer and tutor at Monash University, I worked with students of diverse backgrounds to explain the complexities of development and trade.
