Professional Experience:
I have a demonstrated track record over 17 years in the financial sector, with a 7 year experience in the asset management industry as fund manager and risk analist, which I decided to turn more ethical chosing a master degree in finance for development. For that reason, I dedicated my last 12 years to financial inclusion and microfinance, in order to employ my knowldge for the sake of sustainable development.
I manage international access to credit projects for an Italian bank, also providing technical assistance and training to microfinance institutions, with a focus on cooperative associations of saving and credit.
My experience includes extensive travel and field work in Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Kosovo, Paraguay, Mexico, Ghana, Palestine and Mozambique, where I have to determine feasibility, build partnerships, manage activities and projects, make assessments, design technical assistance and training, disseminate best practices, monitor activities and report, represent my company and the beneficiaries of the projects in public meetings and presentations of the outputs of the projects, apply cultural sensitivity, and have fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese in order to be effective and produce winning deliverables.
During the management of these projects, for which my company provides the majority of the financial resources, I’m accustomed to dealing with important stakeholders, like the Central Banks of the countries where we support microfinance institutions or government institutions like in the Start Up Palestine program, where I work for the Italian Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an Italian governement-led initiative.
The core of my experience is Latin America, where I travelled a lot and also decided to live moving to Argentina for 20 months.
The extensive knowledge I can offer is achievable only through good management skills and a team work approach, ability to handle multiple tasks on a dailiy basis and over different time zones in an indipendent way.
