Native English speaker with 4 years of work experience, a working knowledge of Albanian, and strong background in development economics/ migration/ remittances/ and trade and development
I have worked in varying capacities for the last five years in development related work. For two years I worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Albania and worked in projects as varied as improving education capacity within the school systems and women in democracy. In an informal capacity I worked for four months in Kosovo volunteering my time for grant assistance to NGOs in Albania and Kosovo. After this period I worked as a consultant, researcher, and intern in Geneva for Organizations as varied as Peace Academy, CIOMAL, and the International Trade Centre. Currently I am a federal employee for the Social Security Administration screening and conducting interviews for earned retirement and disability insurance in addition to needs based programs under supplemental security income.
I earned a Masters in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. My degree focused on migration issues, finance and development, development policy, development economics, and labor related issues. Furthermore; I am pursuing a Masters in Accounting through the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst
