Human Rights advocate with an experience of about 3 years representing victims of human trafficking. Extensive work experience in court rooms and with Human Rights organisation coupled with a masters degree has given me the skill set to establish a career in courts or in offices dealing with legal and Human Rights issues. Open to relocation on short notice.
Work experience in courts across India, training of different stakeholders and project management. Specific tasks undertaken during this time are• Representing victims of Human Trafficking or the complainant from the organisation in court of law.• Assisting the victims of Human Trafficking to gain access to compensations and other social welfare schemes of the State.• Providing legal advice to the police during and post rescue operations to free victims of Human Trafficking enslaved in commercial sex trade or child labour etc.. • Managing a team of lawyers.• Training stakeholders ranging from police officers to officials of Department of Women and Child Development across states.• Project management by coordinating with external stakeholders.
Completed LLM in International Crime and Justice from United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and University of Turin (UNITO) on 8th July 2014. Scored an aggregate of 93%. Final research paper topic ‘Sentencing in International Criminal Law’.
