Professional Experience:
• Engaging in high-level technical leadership with bilateral and multilateral donors and partner organizations including UNICEF, WHO, CDC, UNAIDS, World Bank on Child Survival and Reproductive Health, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) including Family Planning (FP) and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS Care and Support, Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Roll Back Malaria, Community Health Services, Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and other health related activities;
• Proving technical leadership on Behaviour change communication (BCC) as well as Information and education communication on health related areas of importance to the USAID Liberia health team specifically Malaria, Family Planning, MNCH and Nutrition; WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and HIV/AIDS,
• Providing oversight over activities that have integrated FP in to the Basic care package for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA); piloting and scaling up Post partum FP, Community based provision of injectable commodities;
• Technical expertise and experience in the area of FP/RH policy reforms and development, advocacy, awareness creation and BCC both at National and community levels
• Strategic thinking and leadership qualities coupled with diplomatic and organizational skills;
• Identifying and coordinating the various USAID health related activities and stakeholders to promote partnership, collaboration and integration of USAID supported activities, with investments of the host country governments, other donors and partners
• Leading and participating in technical committees and discussions to ensure that the interests of USAID and USG programs receive appropriate direction. I have been actively involved in various National Coordination committees, Technical working groups, Interagency Health Teams serving in various capacities (co-chair, member)
• Severally contributed to international, national and public dialogues on the critical maternal and child health issues particularly in the areas of funding, socio-cultural challenges in different country contexts especially Nigeria, Namibia and Liberia
• Preparing and submitting professional related papers to journals for publications, and meeting presentations including documenting best practices; translating operational research in to public health practice (sharing and disseminating best practices, mentoring)
• Preparing talking points, reports, briefs and other communication materials
• Leading and participating in program evaluations and preparing scopes of work for independent assessments and evaluations conducting quality assessment site visits and reports
• Designing new activities, programs and initiatives in accordance to USAID public health programs goals and policies and objectives
• Providing technical assistance and expertise to implementing partners including developing the capacity of local NGOS who were weaned of international NGOs and directly assessing USAID funds
