Professional Experience:
I am a dynamic, results-oriented professional with over 9 years of progressive practice in project development and management, content development, strategic partnerships, UN engagement, research, technical writing, and editing. I offer ample experience working for and engaging with high-ranking global policy-makers and thought leaders.
As an employee of Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Global Foundation for Democracy and
Development (GFDD), global think-tanks created by former President of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Leonel Fernandez,
I became adept at fulfilling numerous roles and responsibilities simultaneously.
As a Representative to the United Nations, I enhanced cooperation between FUNGLODE and GFDD and the commissions
and agencies of the United Nations, improving our status ranking as an accredited non-governmental organization.
I succeeded in increasing the number of side events we coordinated and the number of interventions we delivered at UN
Headquarters, and managed the administrative process to apply for consultative status. In this role, I developed substantial experience initiating, cultivating, and strengthening partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including government
officials, UN representatives, academics, sustainable development practitioners, private sector executives, and civil
society representatives.
As a Writer and Editor, I was the primary generator of all written institutional collateral, which consisted of executive
summaries, concept papers, briefings, background analyses, website content, press releases, talking points, and
interventions for high-level intergovernmental forums. In this capacity, I contributed to improving the quality and content of written material, and helped to elevate the visibility of FUNGLODE’s and GFDD’s programs and projects.
In my capacity as Fellows Program Manager, I developed all web content and promotional materials; contributed to the
design and execution of an institutional outreach strategy; identified and developed strategic relationships with
senior-level public and private sector professionals who served in an advisory capacity to graduate student researchers;
recruited fellows; worked with students to ensure that reports were aligned with institutional goals; provided feedback
regarding content and editorial support to students prior to the publication of their reports; and coordinated opportunities for students to present their findings at the United Nations.
Additionally, I also possess experience preparing speeches for an Ambassador to the United Nations on diverse topics related to South-South and Triangular Cooperation.
