Professional Experience:
I offer a wide background working as a donor/policymaker, implementer, grant writer, editor, capacity building trainer and youth advocate. My main interests are finding solutions for real world development contexts and working with the population rather than for them to empower sustainable solutions. It's about rebuilding social cohesion and communities' participation as part of a social contract that possibly collapsed or never existed.
Professional experience: Project design, management and evaluation for USAID projects (including designs within and outside of USAID for youth projects, peacebuilding, citizen security, protection and anti-trafficking), four years as a certified COR/AOR for USAID, cross-sectoral project integration, international advocacy on human rights issues, interpretation/translation (Spanish), fundraising, as well as communications and outreach on various international development topics including health, economic growth, democracy and governance and humanitarian assistance. Additional direct trainer/teaching experience includes leading trainings/workshops and courses on international affairs/globalization, advocacy, and communications with young women and men. I am also a skilled grant writer and out-of-the-box thinker for how to develop or redesign projects based on impact results.
Professional interests: Encouraging innovation and attitude shifts in society, addressing the role of trauma in identity and civic engagement, rebuilding trust within communities, empowering local organizations for sustainable development, gender dynamics, chronic violence and its impact on social cohesion.
