Faheem Hussain, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology and Society in State University of New York's Korea campus. He received his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the Department of Engineering & Public Policy, with a focus on technology and development in the South Asian region. His key research interests are ICT4D,Technology Policy, Social Media, Freedom of Expression,& Gender Empowerment.
Dr. Hussain also consults United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN APCICT/ESCAP) in its Women Entrepreneurship, Social Media, and ICT related programs.
