Professional Experience:

With over a decade of experience in global health, humanitarian response, and development programming, I have successfully designed, managed, and evaluated complex, multi-million-dollar health programs across diverse and resource-constrained environments. My expertise spans health systems strengthening, post-emergency recovery programming, maternal and child health, family planning, supply chain management, and public health governance.

As a Program Management Health Specialist at USAID, I led a $30 million post-Ebola recovery portfolio in Sierra Leone, overseeing six implementing partners to rebuild and strengthen the country’s health sector. I also played a pivotal role in the design and execution of USAID Sierra Leone’s first integrated bilateral health initiative, a $45 million project integrating malaria prevention, maternal and neonatal health, child health, and emergency preparedness to enhance service delivery at scale.

In addition to technical leadership, I have significant experience in field and emergency response, serving as a key member of the Mission Disaster Response Team following Sierra Leone’s 2017 mudslide disaster. I managed a $100,000 humanitarian budget, prioritizing food relief and mental health support for affected communities. Additionally, I provided technical oversight for a $3.1 million COVID-19 mitigation initiative, ensuring the implementation of infection prevention and control (IPC) and WASH standards in public health clinics.

My ability to foster high-level partnerships and engage stakeholders has been instrumental in shaping national health policies. I have collaborated with the Ministry of Health, donors, and UN agencies to develop policies such as the Community Health Worker Policy, National Supply Chain Strategy, and Family Planning Costed Implementation Plan. As the USAID representative for FP2030, I worked closely with government counterparts, UNFPA, youth representatives, and civil society organizations to improve family planning uptake nationwide.

Beyond program management, I have represented USAID at high-profile events, delivered strategic communications, and coordinated site visits for senior U.S. officials, including the U.S. Ambassador. I have successfully closed out four major USAID awards, ensuring compliance, reviewing deliverables, and monitoring partner performance. My expertise in USAID policies, regulations, and procurement has been reinforced through my seven-year tenure as a certified Agreement Officer Representative (AOR) Level II.

Most recently, I was selected as a Support Relief Group (SRG) Generalist for USAID’s Office of Field and Response Operations (FARO), where I was expected to support humanitarian crises worldwide by leading response strategies, coordinating emergency logistics, and deploying as part of Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs). However, the position was paused due to a U.S. government hiring freeze.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strong leadership, crisis management, and technical expertise, ensuring that health programs are impact-driven, policy-aligned, and effectively implemented to improve the well-being of vulnerable populations.
