Professional Experience:
I have several years of technical and managerial experience in rural/pastoralist area development and humanitarian programming. I work for CARE International in Yemen as a program quality and MEAL coordinator, responsible for ensuring the effective design/development and quality implementation of CARE Yemen’s program strategy, aligning with CARE’s policies and practices. Before this position, I worked for Relief International – South Sudan Program as a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Veterinaries Sans Frontiers (VSF) Germany as an Area Program Coordinator for Jonglei State of South Sudan, Mercy Corps Ethiopia as Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation Manager, and CARE Ethiopia as a Program Manager.
I have extensive experience in managing partnerships and sub-grantee relationships with a variety of local and international NGOs and donors (USAID, BHA, DFID/FCDO, EC/DEVCO, Global Alliance Canada, Dutch Relief Alliance, UN OCHA, WFP, ECHO, and BPRM). He also has been a core team member in designing successful development and humanitarian response proposals in Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Yemen. I have also conducted/coordinated various impact assessments, research, and evaluations.
