Masters Dissertation: Non-Communicable Diseases in Developing Countries (Case Study on Ghana). Various micro and macro drivers analyzed to determine why Ghana is experiencing substantially high and rising mortality rates due to NCDs.
Findings: Poor diet, physical inactivity found as primary micro drivers, with evidence that globalization, urbanization, and ageing are responsible macro drivers.
Significance: Findings can be used to tailor specific programs that target the drivers for non-communicable diseases.
