Professional Experience:

I am a public health, management, marketing and research professional with over 20 years of experience. Country Director with Population Services International (PSI) in Rwandan (October 2010 to date), PSI Country Director in Namibia (October 2007 to September 2010), Deputy Managing Director with Society for Family Health (SFH) Nigeria (2005 to 2007), General Manager Social Marketing of health products and services with SFH Nigeria (2002 – 2004), Head of Department Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (1996 – 2002), Research and Communications Coordinator (1993 – 1996). I have considerable experience in HIV prevention and care, reproductive and sexual health programming including research, program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. My Core competencies are in proposal writing, human resources management, capacity building, financial management, new business development, institutional development, government and donor relations, research including analysis using SPSS, and evaluation. I am also grounded in behavior change theories and models and have had opportunities to apply some of them in my work.

Masters in Public Health (MPH) 2011 to 2013. Walden University, USA. To be completed this summer.
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) 2001. University of Ado Ekiti. Nigeria.
Higher National Diploma in Marketing with distinction 1988. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Nigeria.
Short Course in Family Planning Operations Research (4 months post graduate certificate) University of Exeter. UK.
Summer Course in Communication for Behavioral Impact (COMBI)New York University 2003.

Affiliations and Achievements:

Established a new Rwandan Social Marketing Non-govermental organization including board selection, registration, developing the finance and operations policies and manuals, hiring the Executive Director and other staff members and securing USAID fund worth 4.5 million for the NGO among others. The NGO is currently doing well under the new senior management team.

Also in Namibia I built the capacity of the senior management team to take over the management of the PSI platform. This also included setting up systems, developing the operations policies and manuals and training the staff to use them. It also included creating regional offices and redesigning of the health program to better meet the needs of the target population.
