Professional Experience:
I have overseen programs covering a variety of sectors, including social cohesion, local NGO capacity building, and community mobilization on the development side, and cash for work, shelter, and distributions on the emergency side. These programs also worked across numerous cross-cutting sectors including gender equality, youth development, vocational training, and infrastructure development.
As a PMD-Pro certified professional, I am well aware of the processes required for successful program implementation. I realize that meeting program objectives requires communication and transparency throughout the implementation process. The more you integrate into the implementation process a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, especially from the communities with which we work, the more successfully you will meet the challenges that emerge in every program.
I have experience in highly unstable settings in Afghanistan, where I worked in Kunduz and Kapisa, two highly insecure locations, as well as Iraq and Yemen. I am thus familiar with the vigilance with which security protocols must be continually revised and the challenges that come from isolation.
