Professional Experience:
For the last 10+ years I have supported and led desktop, server, and network functionalities in highly challenging Windows environments. These include designing networks and systems in geographic areas lacking basic Internet services. I have become an excellent troubleshooter regarding hardware failures, software conflicts, and connectivity issues.
Some of my most notable accomplishments include:
* Supported the USAID funded Sudan Basic Education Program (SBEP) in Kenya and the new South Sudan. Liaised with and provided IT services for all consortium members, including CARE International, American Institutes for Research, University of Massachusetts and the Government of South Sudan.
* Directed IT operations and reconstruction for the Educational Development Center, Inc., of the Arapi, Aramweer and Maridi Teacher Training Institutes and the Juba Day Secondary School.
* Designed for Institutes and Secondary School, basic and advanced infrastructure and installed/configured networks, servers, and workstations. After 22 years of war in South Sudan, these institutions needed entirely new IT infrastructures. Deployed helpdesk, and developed/implemented IT training for staff and selected individuals.
* Assessed and prioritized the needs of the Institutes and identified low-cost, innovative technologies to resolve issues and enhance operations. Introduced Skype for chat sessions between tutors in different locations and procured solar-powered mp3 players.
