Kimberly Kane is a bilingual (English/French) international development professional with 26 years’ experience and a proven track record of managing diverse teams, complex projects and portfolios, and high-profile consulting work for senior-level technical expertise. She specializes in learning and development (L&D) and capacity strengthening (CS) of individuals, teams and organizations/institutions (i.e., teaching, training, facilitation of workshops and learning events, instructional design/e-learning, coaching/advisory services, organizational development, leadership strengthening, health workforce development systems, etc.). She also brings a strong background in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), adaptive management models (e.g., Results-Based Management), corporate strategy, business development, management and operations.
Ms. Kane has worked in over 30 countries worldwide, lived in 8 different countries (including 15 years based in sub-Saharan Africa), and spent 12 years in team-lead roles (Global Practice Area Lead/Sr Technical Director, Portfolio Director/Sub-Regional Director, Project Director, Associate Director-Strategic Management and Capacity Building). Her career comprises progressively responsible positions within INGOs and donor agencies as well as consultancies with multi-lateral institutions, national governments, NGOs and CSOs. Her background spans a wide range of sectors and a variety of clients, though it has predominantly involved USG-funded public health and education programming. She is adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels, having worked in project, country, regional and global/headquarters offices and at grassroots level.
